Robert Dugdale is an experienced arts and education administrator, having spent time working across government, tertiary, private and not-for-profit sectors. He holds a Bachelor of Music from the Melba Conservatorium of Music (classical voice) and a Masters of Business Administration (strategy and management) from Monash University. Following his graduation, Robert worked at the Melba Conservatorium in various business and artistic roles, and later worked to establish the Dame Nellie Melba Opera Trust, a philanthropy dedicated to supporting young and emerging opera singers in Australia.

Robert developed the organisation’s Artists Program and Mentor Program before moving into commercial productions and events. In recent years Robert has worked as the Manager Volunteerism for the Country Fire Authority in Victoria where he led a state-wide team supporting the organisation’s volunteer workforce of 59,000 members. In 2016 Robert returned to music as the Strategy, Planning and Operations Manager for the Federal Office of AMEB in Melbourne.
