Dr. John Lynch is a leading international conductor of wind bands and contemporary chamber music. He is the Director of Bands and Wind Symphony conductor at the Sydney Conservatorium, the University of Sydney where he guides all aspects of the masters and doctoral programs in wind conducting. Dr. Lynch has commissioned, premiered, and recorded many works by leading composers as well as those new to writing for the wind band medium. He has three recordings on the Naxos label (including the premiere on the Wind Band Classics series) and one on the Klavier label to outstanding reviews. Ensembles under his direction have been accepted to perform at the national CBDNA conference, ABA, the Midwest Clinic, ANBOC, WASBE and state conventions in the U.S., as well as invited tours of China, Argentina, and Europe. He is a published composer through C.Alan Music (Platinum Series) and Maestro and Fox. He holds degrees from Indiana University, the Eastman School of Music, and the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music
